Hi everyone!
I hope you are all well and getting back into things. I have just started school again and it is very strange!
During this time I have recently finished writing a song called ‘Bumble Bee’ and have just released it as an acoustic single on Bandcamp.
This song was really fun to write because it is a subject that is really important to me and I know it was one that many people can appreciate. The song is written for my best friends as a thank you for being my best friends and includes quite a few inside jokes of ours that I am sure will make them laugh!
I spent about two weeks perfecting the lyrics so this song was all I sang for that time. I loved the idea of using a Bumble Bee as the main idea and even though Bumble Bees are not native to where I am from, they are still very cute looking! Bees also happen to be one of my favourite living creatures because they are yellow and black, two of my favourite colours, and they are crucial to the earth’s survival.
I have never performed this song live as I wrote it during lockdown but I am so eager for you to get to hear it that I have included at the bottom a video of me singing it live in my music studio at home.
